With the use of the latest technology, the Performance Centre uses ball data that is picked up and projected onto a large hitting screen. You can then see ball flight along with spin rates, launch angle, total distance, carry distance, average distance, ball speed and much more. Providing accurate statistics is key to improvement on performance.
With the Performance Centre being indoors, there is no need to worry about the weather if you have a lesson booked in. With this facility the professional team can also offer lessons during the evenings in the winter time.
Individual practice sessions can be booked in the performance centre. Again this is a great option for those wanting to practice during adverse weather conditions. It will also enable you to get much more from your practice with accurate data produced after every shot.
Another service provided in the performance centre is gaping sessions, this is a great way to find out exactly how far you hit each club in the bag on AVERAGE, not how far you hit it downwind, downhill on a hot day in the summer! Having this information will allow you to make better smarter decisions on the course.

October Half Term Junior Golf Camp 2026
During the holidays we run junior golf camps, these cover all areas of the game and include games please see the table below for what is happening and when. All standards of golfer welcome from beginners to the seasoned player, games are all adapted to ability.

Background: I joined the Betchworth junior section as a beginner back in 2007 under the guidance of the great Robin Lugg. I was instantly hooked and worked tirelessly at my game progressing through the junior ranks.
After attending golf college, I decided to follow my passion for golf and signed up for the PGA degree course at Birmingham University. The degree helped me learn on the job and develop my knowledge within the golf industry. I decided to specialise in golf coaching and retail which are my main passions.
After working for the club for 9 years I was delighted to be appointed Head PGA Professional in September 2021. Being Head Professional of my home club is a great privilege and feels incredibly special.

Favourite Golfing Memory: 184yards into wind, 6 iron in hand, the rest is history. My first and only hole in one! What made it even more special was I share the moment with my dad and two brothers.
Favourite Football Team: Crystal Palace
Top Tip: Tee it high, Hit it long! Length off the tee has always been one of my strengths, why can’t it be one of yours? Tee the ball higher and further forward in your stance. This will allow you to catch the ball on the upswing and launch the ball high and long with low spin.

Background: Hello, my name is Callum Mackay, and it is my privilege to join the Professional Team at Betchworth Park Golf Club. I am a very competitive golfer, before turning professional in 2019 I had some fantastic experiences playing the game at national level as an amateur and now I am looking forward to continuing my progression by representing Betchworth Park. My ambition is to provide the members at Betchworth Park with a fantastic opportunity to improve their golf games as well as making sure the experience for all is enjoyable.

Top Tip: One of the most under rated skills that a golfer can acquire is having consistent tempo. Good tempo provides a great platform to increase the potential of hitting better golf shots.

Background: Hello, my name is Lee Turner and it is my privilege to be part of the Professional Team here at Betchworth Park Golf Club. I have been a passionate golfer since the age of 10 and pursed a golf career in my early 20’s starting at American Golf. A switch in career and a successful 20 years a Computer Science teacher followed. However, my dreams of becoming a professional golfer never went away and I decided to give it another go. Fortunately, the fantastic people here at Betchworth gave me the chance and here I am! I am looking forward to helping the club and the members have the best possible experience on the course and with their golf.

Favourite Golfing Memory: Playing in my football club annual golf day for the first time, I received the usual mickey taking from my teammates. Working for American Golf at the time they had deemed me a professional already! A nervous necky cut off the first tee was jeered but fortunately I prevailed and shot a gross 67 (-4) which quickly silenced my teammates!
Favourite Football Team: Arsenal FC
Top Tip: Check your aim, stand behind the ball and use your club to aim. Pick something on the ground along the line a few meters in front and aim to it. This will help you swing with confidence.
